A recap of some varsity scores in recent days:
The Sachem East girls tennis team beat Sachem North last Friday, 5-2. Rachel Wadler beat her opponent at third singles 6-4, 6-2, while Val Luutran won at fourth singles 6-7, 6-2, 6-1. Margaret Hartofilis and Lauren Doucette teamed up to beat North’s first doubles team 6-0, 6-1, Charlee Timmerman and Malorie Nitz won at second doubles 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 and Melody Ribeiro and Danielle Robertson crushed their opponents at third doubles 6-1, 6-2.
East tennis also beat Comsewogue Tuesday, 7-0. Samantha May defeated her first singles opponent 4-6, 7-6, 7-5. Jenna Scarola won at second singles 6-2, 6-3 Victoria Coffaro beat her third singles opponent 6-2, 6-3 while Rachel Wadler cruised to an easy victory at fourth singles winning 6-2, 6-2. Margaret Hartofilis and Lauren Doucette teamed up at first doubles to win 6-3, 6-3 and Malorie Nitz and Valarie Luutran won 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles and Danielle Robertson and Gabby Caviglia crushed their opponents at third doubles 6-0, 6-3. The girls have a match at home this Friday against a tough Port Jefferson team.
