Earlier this year, Fred Gorman filed an appeal with the New York State Commissioner of Education challenging the actions of Sachem’s Board of Education relating to the school district’s budgeting practices.
According to a letter from Ingerman Smith, L.L.P., the law office which represents Sachem Schools, the Commissioner of Education dismissed Mr. Gorman’s appeal.
The Commissioner held that Mr. Gorman failed to meet his burden of proof concerning his claim that the school district engaged in improper budgeting practice, according to the decision.
