For the second straight year, the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce is offering a $500 “Time to Make a Difference” scholarship to a graduating senior from Sachem High School East.

To be eligible, the student must be:

  • Graduating from Sachem East this spring
  • Attending an accredited college, vocational, or trade school in the fall

To enter, the student must:

  • Record a 3-5 minute video telling them what they can do to “make a difference” in the Farmingville Community (the student does not need to appear in the video)
  • Upload the video to the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page at Facebook.com/FarmingvilleHillsChamber (They need to like the page in order to post)
  • The five Facebook posts with the most “likes” from their friends, family and strangers, will advance to the final stage where the Chamber will select a winner.

All uploads and links must be shared by Friday, April 12. The winner will be chosen Friday, April 26. The winner will be notified by email and will be announced on the Chamber’s Facebook page.
