Earlier this week, Sachem East alum Keith Kinkaid posted an image of his new goalie mask on Instagram. Considering he is the heir to Martin Brodeur’s throne, it’s worth a mention.

The mask, manufactured by Bauer, sports a New Jersey Devils logo on the side and his No. 35 on the chin area.

Kinkaid is currently the starting goalie for the Albany Devils, the AHL affiliate of the big club. There’s never a sign that Mr. Brodeur will retire, but when he does, Kinkaid’s instant progress in the minors and high standing in the organization is a telling sign that he’ll have ample opportunity to play at the Prudential Center one day soon.

Kinkaid has a 17-11 record with a 2.69 goals against average this season.
