Cayuga students treated to Mister Softee after assessments

photoOn the final day of a three-day New York State Math Assessment, Cayuga teachers treated students with a Mister Softee truck on campus. The kids worked so hard, and the state assessments have been a VERY stressful ordeal for them.

Fourth grade teachers Erin Lam, Traci Hecht, Jim Fiore and Vanessa Veltri came up with the idea of buying ice cream for their students as a way to celebrate their hard work.

Third grade teachers Nicole Magro, Amy Hollmann, John Sangiorgi, Leanne Masters, Susan Cameron and Kevin Tougher loved the idea, and jumped in.

Fifth grade teachers Loretta Woods, Lori Tremmel, Lisa Ortiz, Maria Bennett, Michael Laregina and Doug Kuveke didn’t participate in the Mister Softee, but they did have parents in for an ice cream social.
