As you settle into your bar-b-que’s this weekend and enjoy some time away form work, take a moment to remember all the men and women who sacrificed their lives protecting our freedoms and our beautiful country. They are heros and that’s the real meaning of Memorial Day.
Sachem has had thousands of alums join the Armed Forces and represent America across the globe. Dozens of alums have died in combat, especially during the Vietnam War.
Sachem High School North launched the Armed Forces Garden a couple of years ago to honor all of these men and women (see photo above).
Again, a hearty THANK YOU to the men and women who allow us to live in freedom. Your efforts, your spirit and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
