Grundy Elementary School has been selected as one of 217 schools to receive a grant from the “I Am A Leader Foundation,” according to an email received by Principal Lisa Johnson.
Merrimac Elementary School received the same honor last week.
The grant was made possible by the generosity of Andrew and Peggy Cherng, founders of Panda Restaurant Group (Panda Express).
“It is our hope that each school that has been impacted by their generosity will create leadership opportunities for their students to express gratitude throughout the year,” said Michelle Craig, a representative from the “I Am A Leader Foundation.”
Additionally, in recognition of the generosity of Panda Restaurant Group and the school’s commitment to The Leader in Me process, I Am A Leader Foundation is having a beautiful metal plaque made to prominently display in the Grundy.
