Sachem East’s Mark Tracy won a New York State championship at 182 pounds in Albany’s Times Union Center on Saturday evening.
Tracy beat John Jay’s Brett Perry, 8-2, in the championship final.
Section XI won the team championship with 247.5 points. Nassau’s Section VIII finished second with 205 points.
Sachem East’s Jakob Restrepo lost to Hilton High’s Vincent Deprez, 3-1, in the 145-pound championship final.
Sachem North’s Matt Stallone placed fifth after beating Jemone Carter from Niagara Falls, 4-2, at 106 pounds.
Sean O’Hagan from Sachem North placed sixth after losing to John Muldoon of Pearl River, 9-2.
Sean Dee lost his first round match at 285 and again in the first round of wrestle backs.
