Sachem East’s Nick Caruana was named Long Island Bowler of the Year by Newsday this weekend as featured its winter sports post-season awards edition.
Caruana broke a Suffolk County record by finishing the season with a 236.33 average.
He was the backbone on a Sachem East team that went to the state tournament for the first time since 2010.
Caruana is only a sophomore.
