NYIT sophomore and Sachem alum Shawn Murphy had a day last weekend against LIU Post in the annual “Battle of the Boulevard”. He scored four goals, including the game-winning tally in triple overtime against the Pioneers in a 9-8 victory.
NYIT is now 10-3 this season and clinched the No. 2 seed in the inaugural ECC Men’s Lacrosse Championships.
Murphy is second on NYIT in scoring with 27 goals and 45 points this season.
