After being challenged by the John Glenn Football program, Sachem East took the ALS ice bucket challenge to raise awareness for the disease.
Sachem East has challenged the varsity football programs at Sachem North, Pat-Med and William Floyd.
John Glenn is coached by Sachem alum Dave Shanahan and Sachem coaching legend Fred Fusaro. Shanahan, a Sachem resident, played with Sachem East coach Mark Wojciehowski and his son Kyle is now a player at Sachem East.
