Alum O’Hara named captain at Hendrix

Screen shot 2014-10-19 at 7.02.24 PMSachem East alum Dennis O’Hara has been named as a captain for the Hendrix College men’s lacrosse team, according to a release from the school.

O’Hara, a junior goaltender at the Arkansas based school, has an 8.18 career goals against average. He ranks third in school history with a .545 save percentage and fifth in saves. Occasionally seeing time at midfield, he has recorded 20 ground balls and three caused turnovers. O’Hara was also a member of the SAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

Hendrix coach Curt Foxx also named Branden Harbaugh and Alex Orenstone team captains.

“Branden, Dennis, and Alex have been great leaders in the classroom, on campus, in the weight room, and on the lacrosse  field,” said Foxx in a statement. “Their work ethic, selflessness, accountability, and toughness embody who we are as Hendrix men’s lacrosse. We are excited as a coaching staff to serve the men’s lacrosse program alongside them.”
