Sachem East lost its first game of the season this week in a 34-26 defeat against Lindenhurst on Friday evening at home.
Lindenhurst quarterback Ryan Hofmann was the different maker. He was 17-for-28, throwing for 244 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Hofmann hit Joe Palmeri with a 75-yard with 5:27 left in the game to secure the victory.
Sachem East’s Josh Hannah rushed for 144 yards, while Ryan Leone had 114 yards on the ground.
Sachem East (6-1) will be in action again next week against Central Islip at home on Friday night.
