Sachem East football finished the regular season strong Friday night with a 28-24 victory over Central Islip and head into the Suffolk County Division I playoffs with a 7-1 record.
Sachem East led early and often against Central Islip, opening with as much as a 28-6 lead in the game.
The Suffolk County playoff schedule will not be released until after this weekend, but Sachem East should be one of the top three seeds in Division I.
This marks the fourth season in program history that the Arrows have qualified for the playoffs, and the first time in two years.
Sachem East has scored 209 points this season, the fourth most in program history.
