Sachem North will be holding its first annual Bubble Soccer Tournament, hosted by the Sachem North Junior Class of 2016.
The tournament will consist of 24 teams and take place on November 14 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.
Bubble Soccer is just like soccer, but there’s a catch … players are put inside a bubble that covers them from head to about their waist. The bubbles are 100 percent safe with a built-in harnesses and handles for the player to hold.
The balls are about five feet tall, and weigh about 25 pounds. It is a full-contact sport with no fouls, but follows the same rules as soccer. Each game lasts 10 minutes.
Admission is $1 at the door.
