Sachem North sophomore James Avanzato has been named to Inside Lacrosse’s sophomore “Watchlist” as one of the best rising prospects in the nation.
Avanzato, who played varsity football this fall, has verbally committed to play college lacrosse at perennial contender Maryland.
“James is a very good athlete with a high skill level,” said Sachem coach Jay Mauro. “He plays three sports, which I believe always helps a lacrosse player, and he’s a good kid who plays the game with great energy and hustle.”
