Student-athletes from Sachem were honored as Suffolk Zone winners at the NYSAHPERD Student Awards Dinner held at Hyatt Regency Long Island at Wind Watch Golf Club in Hauppauge, N.Y.
Sachem North winners are Kimberly Larosa and Robert Steinberg and Sachem East winners are Malaika Hollis and Ryan Leone.
The Zone Award is a Physical Education Award that recognizes one female and male senior student from each high school in Suffolk County.
Recipients are selected based on the award criteria of Physical Education Achievement, Scholastically Sound, Physical Education Leader, Leader in School Wide Activities and Role Model.
