For the third straight season, Sachem East wrestling has captured a League I championship.
The Arrows crowned five league champions and finished with 229 points during the tournament held at William Floyd High School.
Patchogue-Medford placed second with 216 points, while Brentwood had 158.5. Ward Melville’s Donny Donnelly was named Most Outstanding Wrestling and Pat-Med’s Mike Figurowski earned the most points in least time with three in 9:57.
Sachem East’s champions include Brice O’Hara (99 pounds), Doug Iadanza (120), Jakob Restrepo (152), Connor Farrell (220) and Sean Dee (285). Bobby Fazio (113) and Joe Eiden (160) were runner-ups.
The Arrows will look to capture their third straight Suffolk County championship next weekend at Hofstra University.
