During the school year, four students from Sachem competed at the DECA State Career Conference held in Rochester.
From Sachem North, Emma Gravino competed in the apparel and accessories category and Meagan Loyst, who recently graduated, competed in the business finance category. From Sachem East, Matthew Ryder and Daniel Kaplan both individually competed in the accounting applications category.
Students competed at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center and stayed at the Rochester Radisson Hotel.
Out of our four Sachem students that competed at states, Ryder placed and qualified for DECA Nationals. He also attended the national level in Orlando.
