Sequoya Middle School Principal Frank Panasci has been named the 2015 Administrator of the Year by the Suffolk School Library Media Association (SSLMA).
The following text is from a letter he received from Madelyn T. Haussner, the President of the SSLMA:
Your support and encouragement of Sequoya’s School Library Program is outstanding. According to the nomination provided by your school librarian, Sandy Bucher, you value her “efforts to improve the library and its relationship with the school community.” Your encouragement for Sandy to participate in professional development is refreshing, as you know it will benefit both staff and students, along with her consideration as a team member for Sequoya Middle School. The trust you have built with your school librarian, Sandy Bucher, permits your school library program to flourish, thereby influencing student and staff achievement.
