The Sachem North girls volleyball team earned a first round playoff victory over Commack on Monday.
No. 11 Sachem (9-6) upset No. 6 Commack, 3-2, and will now travel to No. 3 Smithtown East on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Suffolk County Class AA quarterfinals.
Against Commack, Sam MacPherson had 14 kills, Emily Sill recorded 12 kills and Emily Morris added 39 assists.
