Update from last night’s Sachem Board of Education meeting …
During the Sachem Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, the school board voted to terminate its agreement with the Sachem Youth Soccer League and its lease of the Waverly Avenue Soccer Fields. The board voted on, but did not have enough votes in support of, another lease agreement with a different vendor. Sachem is now going to release a request for proposals and the board of education and administration will evaluate those proposals and discuss at a future meeting. We will keep you informed about the situation as information becomes available.
