Jake Alborano, a fifth grade student from Ms. Alvarez’s class at Merrimac Elementary School, has the holiday spirit.
He did an excellent job in helping with the coordination and collection of student letters to Santa Claus. They were sent to Macy’s, who will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish for every letter received. Overall, Merrimac collected 265 letters thanks to Jake’s efforts.
“Thank you to Kathy Conner, our nurse, for organizing this and making it a win-win,” said Merrimac Principal Veronica DeCicco. “Our students stepped up to the plate to write to Santa while helping others.”
