Sachem East senior Cara Trombetta was named a Third Team All-American by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for her efforts this past fall.
In doing so, Trombetta becomes the first student-athlete at Sachem East to be recognized as an All-American in two sports. She was also an All-American in lacrosse last spring as a junior.
Trombetta will play lacrosse at the University of Florida.
On another note, both Cara and her sister Katie, now a sophomore at the University of Michigan, have the unique connection of both being All-Americans in field hockey.
