Sachem’s cosmetology program recently competed at the New York Institute of Beauty (NYIB).
The winners of the competition will be joining the NYIB makeup team at New York Fashion Week this month.
The following students from Sachem won:
- Hairstyling: Keirsten Ortiz and Miranda Lopez
- Makeup artists: Emily Leath, Toni De Marco and Faiziah Latif
“This is an amazing opportunity for our students to be able to go behind the scenes of an extravagant fashion show,” said Sachem cosmetology teacher Michelle Savikas. “What an outstanding achievement for our students in the cosmetology program.”
