The Sachem varsity boys swim team competed at the Section XI Suffolk County Championships Saturday.
Nick Neri took third place in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.65 and will represent Sachem at the New York State Championships in Buffalo on March 3 in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle. Both are new school records.
The boys 200-yard freestyle relay team took third place: Neri (22.47), Joe Pedisich (23.06), Vinny Budke (22.98) and Joe Monteverde (23.14). They also took 4th place in the 200 yard medley relay.
