Students from Seneca Middle School participated in the Long Island’s Junior Iron Chef Competition last weekend.

The school placed first, third and 12 out of 18 middle schools.

Mary Faller, family consumer science teacher at Seneca, worked with three teams of students to prepare them for the competition.

Students created their own menus and had one hour to prepare and cook their food for the judges.
