Jumbo Elliott on College Football Hall of Fame ballot

Sachem alum John “Jumbo” Elliott has been added to the College Football Hall of Fame ballot again.

Elliott was a two-time All-American at the University of Michigan and helped the Wolverines win a Big Ten title in 1986. He played 14 years in the NFL and helped the Giants win a Super Bowl in 1990.

Some other notable names on this year’s ballot includeDerrick Brooks, Kirk Gibson, Torry Holt, Matt Leinart, Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher and Rod Woodson.

The announcement of the 2016 Class will be made Friday, January 8 at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, Ariz.
