Sachem is diving deep into its history and alumni base during graduation ceremonies moving forward.
This year, at both Sachem East and Sachem North, successful and notable alumni were the keynote speakers.
Sachem North had alum Laura Gentile on Friday evening. Gentile, an alum from the Class of 1990, is Vice President of ESPNW, a division of the world wide leader in sports that focuses on content for women. She attended Duke University and has an MBA from Boston College.
Sachem East invited alum Robert Greifeld for its ceremony on Saturday morning. Greifeld, an alum from the Class of 1975, is CEO of NASDAQ. He attended Iona College and has an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
Both alums spoke proudly of their upbringing in Sachem and lent some valuable words of wisdom to the students in the Class of 2016.
