There is a new Sachem Alumni Association that officially launched this weekend.
Founded and led by Sachem alum and resident Chris R. Vaccaro, the association is independent of the Sachem Central School District, but will aim to uphold the values and principles of the district in all of its fundraising and alumni awareness initiatives.
“It’s my distinct honor and pleasure to announce the formation of the Sachem Alumni Association,” said Vaccaro. “Our mission is to uphold the tradition of excellence instilled in students while they attended Sachem.”
The association will hold fundraiser events, provide scholarships to Sachem students and foster a networking organization for alums to communicate and connect with one another.
The founding executive board of the alumni association also includes Sachem alums Matt Barbis, Tom Sabatelle and Lou Antonetti.
