Sachem alums Malik Pierre and Connor Farrell helped LIU Post win a Northeast-10 Conference championship.
The Pioneers beat Assumption, 43-23, and both Pierre and Farrell were named to the All-Championship Team.
Pierre, who also helped Sachem North to a Long Island championship in 2013, was named Most Outstanding Player of the game. He had 108 rushing yards and two rushing scores, as well as an 87-yard kick return for a touchdown.
Farrell, who is one of the top defensive players in Sachem East history, led Post with nine tackles in the victory.
The Pioneers have the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division II football tournament. They will host No. 7 Winston-Salem State on Saturday, November 19.
