A group of educators from Iceland came to Lynwood Elementary as part of Leadership Day activities in the building.
Lynwood, which has received the distinct honor of being a Lighthouse School as part of the Franklin Covey Leadership program, has served as a wonderful example in Sachem, New York and the United States as a first class leadership-focused building that gets outstanding results from its students and staff.
The foreign educators were able to learn about the many initiatives in the school that separates itself from others across the nation.
Merrimac, another of Sachem’s elementary schools, is also a Lighthouse School and has had visitors earlier this spring from other teachers from outside of the district as well.
