Sachem Alum Aspires to Care for Wounded Warriors

Sachem East alum Ryan Leone is at it again. He’s helping others and advancing his career, and he continues to represent Sachem proudly.

An article about his latest work appeared in the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research this week.

“I believe that I was groomed to do this from a young age,” shared Ryan Leone when asked about his career ambition to become an Army trauma surgeon. Leone, a student at the University of Pennsylvania, just wrapped up a 10-week summer intern program at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He was among 13 college interns from around the U.S. to spend their summer conducting combat casualty care research.
