Sachem Student-Athletes Named All-Long Island

A number of student-athletes from Sachem were tabbed as All-Long Island performers for the fall season.

On the gridiron, Sachem East’s Danny Carroll, who was also named Suffolk County’s top defensive player, earned First Team All-Long Island honors.

In field hockey, Sachem East’s Kristen Shanahan, who led her team with 25 points – 15 goals and 10 assists – also pushed the Arrows into the Suffolk County championship game.

Sachem East field hockey coach Tina Moon was named Suffolk County Coach of the Year for pushing her sixth ranked Arrows past No. 11 Smithtown West, No. 3 Northport and No. 2 Eastport-South Manor in the playoffs.

Sachem North’s Grace Lipponer and Carolyn O’Brien were both named to the All-Long Island second team in field hockey.

For boy’s volleyball, Sachem North’s Connor Pallmann was First Team All-Long Island after posting a team-high 209 kills and 37 aces, and Dan LaRosa also took home First Team recognition as Long Island’s top libero.

On the second team for boy’s volleyball was Sachem North’s Jack Driscoll.

Molly Jandris from Sachem East was Second Team All-Long Island in girl’s volleyball.
