Winter playoff action heating up
There are a number of playoff events featuring Sachem student-athletes and teams in the coming days and weeks. Here’s what we have to look forward to:
Thursday, 2/15, 4:30 p.m.: Sachem Boys Swimming will compete in the Boys Sec XI Diving Championship at Hauppauge High School.
Saturday, 2/17, 10:00 a.m.: Sachem Boys Swimming will compete in the Boys Sec XI Swimming Championship at Suffolk Community College, Brentwood. Tickets cost $6.
Friday, 2/16, 5:45 p.m.: Sachem East Girls Basketball will be playing Walt Whitman at Sachem High School East in the first round of the Section XI tournament.
Friday, 2/16, 5:00 p.m.: Sachem North Girls Basketball will be playing West Babylon at West Babylon Sr. High School in the first round of the Section XI tournament.
Saturday, 2/24, time TBD: Sachem North and Sachem East Cheerleading will compete in the Sec XI Championship at West Islip High School. Tickets cost $6.
Saturday-Sunday, 3/10-3/11, 9 a.m.: Sachem Girls Bowler Amanda Naujokas will compete with the Section XI All-Star Team in the NYSPHSAA Championships at The Oncenter in Syracuse, N.Y. Tickets cost $8.
