Shanahan Named as Associate Head Coach of Team England

Latest lacrosse feat adds to already legendary resume

Doug Shanahan has been named as the associate head coach for the Team England lacrosse squad.

Shanahan, a Sachem alum, has been a prep coach in Florida for many years and has also recently coached with the Irish National Team.

He was the inaugural winner of the Tewaaraton Award as the top college lacrosse player in the country while playing at Hofstra University.

He played football and lacrosse at Sachem and Hofstra and tried out for the Jets, making it to the final round of cuts.
