Sachem Football Earns 350th Victory in Program History

The Sachem North football program reached a remarkable milestone on Saturday afternoon, earning its 350th victory in program history with a 42–20 win over Patchogue-Medford in Suffolk County Division I action.

Since beginning varsity competition in 1961, Sachem has been one of the winningest and most respected football programs on Long Island and in Suffolk County, now boasting a record of 350–231–18. The historic win came fittingly against Patchogue-Medford, a long-standing rival that Sachem has faced more than any other opponent — 63 total matchups spanning over six decades.

No other team has played a larger role in Sachem’s storied football legacy. The Arrows have recorded 39 victories and scored 1,172 points against Patchogue-Medford — both the most against any opponent in program history.

Saturday’s victory was another chapter in a tradition rich with excellence, pride, and community spirit. As the team continues to build on its success, Sachem looks ahead to writing more history and celebrating even more victories in the years to come.
