Sequoya student Sky Burke was honored recently by the New York State Association of Community and Residential Agencies (NYSACRA).
As part of its Annual Excellence Awards, the NYSACRA recognized Sky for her work as a youth ambassador in the self-advocacy movement. The Excellence Awards were given at their Annual Banquet on April 9 at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, N.Y.
The NYSACRA is a membership organization representing over 200 voluntary not-for-profit agencies in New York State. These dedicated agencies provide direct services and supports to tens of thousands of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The agencies are located in communities throughout New York State and provide jobs to the more than 75,000 direct support professionals who we rely on to provide services.
