Sachem East’s Cara Trombetta was ranked as the No. 3 rising junior in the nation by Inside Lacrosse just prior to the school year starting.
Trombetta, who has verbally committed to play at the University of Florida, is the highest girl’s lacrosse recruit to come out of Sachem in quite some time. She is also a stud on the field hockey team, which will threaten for another Long Island crown this season.
Her sister Katie is a freshman on the field hockey team at the University of Michigan.
