Sachem Alum, Lax Pro Connor Farrell Named Sachem East Head Lacrosse Coach

He’s coming home.

In a classic full circle moment, Sachem alum Connor Farrell has been named head boys varsity lacrosse coach at Sachem High School East, his alma mater.

Farrell plays for the Chrome of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). He was a two-sport athlete at LIU Post, staring in football and lacrosse.

“Extremely excited to announce that I will be the new head coach for Sachem East varsity men’s lacrosse,” he wrote on Instagram. “Can’t wait to get to work with the great group of guys we have and better yet get to do it with my best friend Mike Sofia as my assistant coach #SachemForLife.”

Sofia played varsity lacrosse at Sachem North and NYIT.

Nicknamed the Milk Man, Farrell has been one of the most recognizable figures of the PLL since its debut in 2019. On the field he has one of the highest face-off percentages in the league.

At Sachem he was All-Long Island and All-State in football and recorded 311 career tackles, a program record.
