A former standout from Sachem North is making headlines overseas.
Cam Lee, a 2021 Sachem North graduate, helped power the Durham Saints to a spot in the British National College American Football Championship, set for March 24. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time and will be streamed live on the BUCS YouTube channel.
Lee has been a driving force behind Durham’s success this season, etching his name into the program’s record books. He set a new single-season school record with 18 total touchdowns, including 15 receiving scores, showcasing his dynamic playmaking ability and consistency as a top offensive weapon.
Founded in 2006, the Durham Saints have developed into one of the premier programs in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league, and this year’s championship appearance marks another milestone in the program’s continued rise.
After graduating from Sachem, he continued his academic and athletic career at Williams College, where he totaled nearly 1,000 receiving yards over four seasons.
His success traces back to his historic high school career at Sachem North, where he became the only player in program history to surpass both 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards, a testament to his versatility and impact on the field.
Now, Lee will look to cap off a record-breaking season with a national title as the Durham Saints take the field on March 24.
