Sachem East Girls Tennis: The Sachem East Girls Tennis Team opened their league season with a victory over Bellport at home on Friday September 7th. The girls beat Bellport 7-0 with Samantha May winning at first singles, (6-2, 6-2) Jenna Scarola at second singles, (6-3, 6-1) Victoria Coffaro crushed her opponent at third singles, (6-0, 6-0) and Rachel Wadler handling her fourth singles opponent easily (6-0, 6-1). The doubles teams were equally impressive with Margaret Hartofilis and Lauren Doucette teaming up at first for a (6-3, 6-3) victory, Charlee Timmerman and Malorie Nitz won at second doubles (6-3, 6-0) while Hana Berrada and Valorie Luutran destroyed their opponents at third doubles (6-0, 6-1). Their next match will be away on Monday against a tough Stony Brook squad.
