Sachem East picked up another win, this time in playoff fashion, beating West Islip, 8-1, in the Suffolk County Class A quarterfinals on Saturday afternoon.
Top-seeded Sachem will play No. 5 Ward Melville in the county semifinals on Sunday at 11 a.m. at Sachem East.
Against No. 9 West Islip (8-9), Sachem had eight different girls score goals: Nikki Healy, Katie Shanahan, Kayla McKeveny, Cara Trombetta, Kim Fazio, Ellen Vecchio, Katie Doherty (1 assist as well) and Katie Trombetta.
Jordan Miller made three saves in net for Sachem.
