Sachem pride … in doggy form

Jasmine is 7 months old and already loves Sachem.

By “All Sachem, All the time” on The Sachem Report I really mean it. And that even includes writing about the pets who bleed Red, Black & Gold.

Meet Jasmine, a 7-month-old huskey from Farmingville, N.Y., who in spirit and in uniform is now cheering for Sachem.

It helps that her owners are proud Sachem alums and coaches and I expect nothing less from Taylor Spindel and Alex Grimm.

Jasmine even made it to a Sachem North football game at Fred Fusaro Alumni Stadium this past season, sporting a Black & Gold bandana.

While Grimm, who is an assistant football coach at North and a lacrosse coach at East, would naturally hope for a football or lacrosse get up, the cheer uniform suits Jasmine well. Spindel is a cheer coach at Sachem East.

Don’t be surprised if you see Jasmine in Cortland Red Dragons paraphernalia too as Grimm and Spindell are devout C-State alums.

If only we can get her to howl to the melody of Sachem’s fight song …
