Sachem North finished its own Joe Davidson Memorial Duals a perfect 8-0 over the weekend.

The Flaming Arrows are 31-1 in the four-year existence of the dual meet, which is formally known as the Sachem Holiday Tournament.

Sachem heavyweight Steve Mills, wrestling at 220 pounds, finished the meet undefeated and padded his 15-0 record this season.

Teammates Sean O’Hagan, Matt Marino and Gio Santiago also had undefeated performances during the dual meet.

Sachem coach Ray Pickersgill and assistant John Aebly earned their 100th victory as a tandem since taking over from Sachem coaching legend Jack Mahoney after the 2005 season. Only 51 other coaches in the history of Suffolk County wrestling have reached the 100-win plateau  including Mahoney (341) and Sachem East coach Sean O’Hara (114 prior to 2012-13 season).

Sachem wrestles again on Jan. 4 in a non-league dual meet at home against Nassau County’s Baldwin High School.
