Sachem will host its “Shoot for the Cure” event on Saturday, Feb. 9 for breast cancer awareness and prevention.
All girls basketball teams in Sachem – junior high to varsity – will play at Sachem High School East from 11 a.m. through 5 p.m. as part of a “Program Day” celebration.
There will be raffle giveaways and 100 percent of the proceeds will go towards the Maurer Foundation for breast cancer prevention.
Games scheduled
- Sagamore vs. Seneca, 11 a.m.
- Samoset vs. Sequoya, 1 p.m.
- North vs. East JV, 3 p.m.
- North vs. East Varsity, 5 p.m.
All students and staff in Sachem are being asked to wear pink on Friday, Feb. 8 for “Think Pink Day” in support of breast cancer prevention and awareness.
