This past weekend marked the close of the 2012-2013 wrestling regular season. Sachem East senior Conor O’Hara helped the team put an exclamation point on the end of the regular season as the team sets its focus on the post season competitions ahead.

On Friday night O’Hara recorded career victory No. 140 when he scored a 15-0 technical fall victory over Patchogue-Medford’s Peter Pasquilino. The win tied O’Hara on the All-time victory list with 2011 Sachem East grad and current University of Maryland wrestler Sean O’Malley.

On Saturday O’Hara added three more victories as he took home the 132-pound title at the Sachem East tournament to up his career win total to 143 and move atop the school leader board.

“Conor has a terrific work ethic and it is the key to his success,” said Sachem East coach Sean O’Hara. “He has been on the varisty since eighth grade and has been one of our hardest workers since day one. He is a great example both on and off the mat and a pleasure to coach.”

The Sachem East Arrows will begin the post season this Saturday with the League I Tournament at Ward Melville.
