For some reason I didn’t see this until now, but it’s worth a late mention. Sachem East’s memorable and historic touchdown against Connetquot in the Suffolk County Division I semifinals was picked as one of the top 15 high school football plays of the year in the United States by MaxPreps.
Even if you weren’t there to witness one of the most improbable catches in Suffolk County history, you some how had to hear about the throw from Danny Wolff to Ryan Dippel as time expired. In triple-coverage, Dippel leaped and caught the ball that sent Sachem East into its first county championship game.
