Sachem alum Vincent Juliano, a freshman at SUNY Cortland, was named Offensive Rookie of the Year for the Red Dragons at the program’s annual awards ceremony held this week.
Juliano, who won the Most Outstanding Lineman award at Sachem as a senior in 2011, was a mainstay on the offensive line at Cortland during his debut season.
Cortland, who has an extensive connection and history with the Sachem football program, finished 9-2 this season (7-0 in conference) and won the Cortaca Jug in the regular season finale over Ithaca before eventually losing to Wesley in the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
