For those who don’t know the story angle with Marquette and Hofstra lacrosse, the connection lies with Sachem alum and new Golden Eagles men’s lacrosse coach Joe Amplo.
His team is making the pilgrimage to Long Island this weekend for a scrimmage. Amplo was a longtime assistant coach at Hofstra before taking over the newly created men’s lacrosse program in Wisconsin.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday morning, but due to the impending blizzard hitting the northeast late Friday, was pushed back to Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
